The Rev. Rick Martin with his wife of 24 years moved to Alexandria in June of 2003 with their four children, Richard, Stephanie, Michelle and George to become our pastor.
Pastor Rick serves as a circuited pastor with the Eagle Valley Community Church located in Clarissa, Minnesota and is bi-vocational and serves at Herberger's in Alexandria as a Sales Associate in the Men's Department. (Please stop in and say hello)
Pastor Rick a graduate of Moody Bible Institute of Chicago, Illinois has also studied independently through the Apollos program of the Free Methodist Church of North America, North Central Conference and was ordained as an Elder in the Free Methodist Church in June of 2006 at the Annual Conference of North Central.
His vision for a healthy biblical community of holy people is centered on the precept of discipleship in the tradition of John Wesley on the person and the work of Jesus Christ as taught and described in the Holy Scriptures.
He believes in the church as an extended family of relationships, not in a scattering of programs, but in relationships that are built and edified in a community of like minded people, wanting to serve the Lord
Pastor Rick is energetic in his preaching and his passion to lead others to experience the fullness of salvation through Christ.
