The terrorists who boarded the planes who they later hi-jacked and steered into the World Trade Center; didn't announce their intentions when they purchased their tickets. They kept their intentions a deep, dark secret.
They seemed like ordinary passengers, but they had a very evil plan they were about to carry out. They had a plan to murder as many people as they possibly could, no matter who they were.
There is a terrorist in our midst who is much more sinister than the 9-11 hi-jackers were. This terrorist is much cleverer than those Islamic terrorists could ever hope to be. He makes Osama bin Laden seem like a Sunday school teacher!
This terrorist is called Satan. He doesn't use knives and guns to do his evil deeds; he has a much more sinister weapon. He uses a weapon that is so subtle that he can destroy your life before you ever realize its happening. What is this super weapon? The weapon is deception.
Satan uses this powerful weapon on people from all walks of life, from the rich and powerful to the most poverty stricken people on the planet. It doesn't matter to Satan who you are, or how great you are. He doesn't discriminate against anyone.
What is Satan's mission? His mission is a very simple one. His primary mission is to keep people from discovering God's saving grace. God's saving grace that comes by Jesus sacrificing Himself of the cross as the price for our sins. It is the only way possible for us to be able to go to heaven. Satan doesn't want you to discover this saving grace because he wants you in hell with him so he can torment you through all eternity!
If you discover God's saving grace, then Satan can't touch you because you now belong to the family of God, and you are off limits to Satan and all his demons.
You will discover God's saving grace when you come to realize that you are a sinner, and don't want to go to hell. When you realize that Jesus Christ is God's only Son, and that He paid the price for your sins with His own shed blood on the cross. You can now receive God's forgiveness for your sins and be risen up to heaven just as God raised Jesus on the third day after His death.
